​Open daily and free to enter, the centre has a range of free activity sheets for the children as well as skulls, feely boxes and nature games

​The adventure playground in the woods is one of the best zip wires around

​Visit the toddlers hobbit garden near the cafe

Build a big sand sculpture

​Take a bucket and spade, find 'the beach' on the edge of the Mill Lake and let your creativity loose in the sand


Barbecue by the lake on the sands

​Take advantage of the purpose built barbecue standing next to Mill Lake and cook some food, while your children play in the sand

​Grab some corn from the visitor centre and make friends with a duck
